“New Album Includes The Best Jazz Guitar Works I’ve…”
December, 2019
Dear Friends, Fans, Students, Music Lovers:
If you like good instrumental music, these will be the best jazz guitar compositions you’ve probably heard this year.
I’ll explain why in a minute.
But first…
Please understand that this isn’t one of those albums made specifically for Holiday season or one of those that use the Holiday shopping fever as an excuse to sell you something you wouldn’t normally want.
Lots of you who will read this have known me for quite some time. I appreciate you, your interest, friendship and trust in me over the years and I would never do that.
So the album has nothing to do with Black Friday, Cyber Monday or any other Holiday “sale” occasion and it doesn’t come in a fancy packaging.
However, I guarantee you’ll love it!
I guarantee it will make your day better in some way. If it doesn’t, I will personally buy you another CD of your choice and you can keep my album anyway (more details on that below).
And I’m totally ok with that because I think it’s fair. This way you are not just getting a portion of some “discount”. Instead, you really are getting the whole CD of your choice free, in case you don’t love this album.
The only caveat is:
If you don’t like to listen to instrumental music or jazz or if you are just looking for something with a Holiday “theme” please DO NOT GET THIS ALBUM.
With that said let me show you…
Exactly What You’re Getting
This album is different from most albums you’ve ever listened to because it is more of a “solo” performance than a “guitar+band” recording.
There’s no typical rhythm section, drums, piano, bass… it immediately gets down to the clean jazz guitar sound, without special effects or distortion.
The album is easy to listen to – but there are no clichés. It just means that you’ll immediately “get” it.
The music is tranquil and “noise-cancelling” as some people wrote to me that it makes them look “inside”.
This may be different for everyone but either way I think it is evocative enough and it should appeal to your imagination in some way.
The album is only 5 compositions but it’s PACKED with music in each piece.
The reason why is because each composition is like two pieces in one. They are each 5 to 7 minutes long (much longer than a typical song) … and they all include my improvisations of the theme, which I think you’ll really enjoy.
Here’s just a fraction of what’s inside (30 second excerpts):
1. January At Half Past Ten
2. Vicious Circle
3. Travel
4. Woland’s Dream
5. Silent Touch
There actually is one “secret” guest on the album and I’ll tell you all about him on a special page where you can play all the tracks right away without having to download anything.
I believe you’ll enjoy listening to the album not only once but repeatedly… in the car or at home… that it’ll keep you warm over the next few winter months and perhaps will stay in your permanent collection of good music.
My hope is that you’ll remember this album as something truly special and I’m not saying it lightly. To make sure that you know that these aren’t just empty words the album comes with a full guarantee.
The Guarantee
You either love it OR I’ll buy you any other album of your choice absolutely FREE.
Here is how it works:
If you don’t think it’s the best new jazz guitar instrumental solo album you’ve heard in the last year…
I’m personally going to buy you any other album of YOUR choice.
This is good for both of us because this way I will learn about something interesting and you will also be happy.
Just let me know by email (or via facebook/messenger) and I’ll personally order it, send you a download link or ship the CD to your address, totally free… as a gift and my thank you for giving this album a try.
Plus, you can keep my album anyway. You don’t have to return anything. It’s yours to keep (or you can gift it to someone else who might enjoy it).
Here is why I’m doing this:
My mission has been to create the best possible high quality instrumental guitar music that is at the same time inspiring and enjoyable to listen to.
So, if – after taking this album home and listening to it – you don’t think I’ve done my job… If you don’t think it’s at the artistic level you would expect from the best jazz guitar players around the world (regardless of country or nation)…
… then I don’t want you to pay for this album (seriously)… because I’m not doing this for the money. As I mentioned my mission is much, much higher than that.
Plus in addition to this album…
You’re getting 3 extra never-released recordings.
These are some of my favorite themes and you can expect to hear some of the best jazz guitar solos I’ve ever recorded.
These three tracks are not for sale anywhere but you can have them here (There’s nothing to buy. It’s a gift. Just enjoy it. I’m certain that you’ll love these pieces).
Here’s What To Do
The “cost” of the album is $10.
And I’m making it available as a digital download – so you get it immediately.
You get a link to a special webpage where you can play it right away or if you prefer you can download the tracks to your phone or computer. You have unlimited lifetime access to this page and you can log in anytime.
However, I figured some of you would want to hold a physical CD in their hand, so I made a limited amount of physical copies.
If you’d like to receive a physical CD, simply write me a message in the notes on the order page plus enter your shipping address. I’ll then send you the CD (signed by me) absolutely free. I’ll deliver it to you anywhere in the world, just cover the $5.00 shipping cost.
This is truly a special limited signature edition with my best work written for jazz guitar
Yes Martin, send me the album
Before I go, I just wanted to summarize one important thing for those who just skipped here to the end of the letter…
This isn’t one of those albums made in a rush for the Holiday season hoping to make a quick sale. There’s nothing fake. There are no clichés. And it’s not a typical “band” album.
What I’m ultimately giving you is a special signature edition that I believe represents some of my best work written for jazz guitar.
And that’s the only reason why I want you to have it.
While the music is easy to listen there are no clichés. And while it seems to be played effortlessly, it is hard to play for an “average” guitarist. It took me years of refinement to play this way.
If you have known me personally or if you have been following me for some time, then you know that playing guitar has been my passion for a very long time.
I started when I was 10. When I was about 17, I also became interested in writing instrumental music.
My inspirations among jazz guitarists were Pat Metheny, Ralph Towner, Toninho Horta and a few others. Already back then I became fascinated by the warm “flexible” jazz guitar sound.
Trying to find my own way, I formed my first band in 1995 and I was constantly writing new pieces. After receiving an award for my work and a grant I ended up in New York where I eventually completed my academic music training and taught at a university there for several years.
I was lucky to play with wonderful (and more talented) musicians from all over the world.
Over the years I’ve developed a style of playing that some have called “lyrical”. But to me it’s just a way that suits me best. A way that gives me the freedom to express, on a guitar, what I want and get the sound I want out of it (and have some fun along the way).
This album is meant to transfer to you a piece of that “magic” world of jazz guitar that still fascinates me.
My hope is that you will be to some extent “irradiated” with it and that it will allow you to simply take a break. I think it can make a great small intangible gift on top of all the fun material gifts we get around this time of the year.
So that’s about it. There’s an order link a little further down on the page. That will get you a lifetime access.
The album is only $10 and you get it instantly, withouth having to wait for the post office to get it to you.
If you do decide to get the album, I really think you’re going to like it.
And if not, you get another CD of your choice which I’ll buy and ship to you absolutely free (just like I described in the guarantee above).
Again, as soon as you place your order, you’ll be sent an email receipt with a link to a page where you can get it. You’ll have lifetime access so you can log back in anytime. From there you can play the album right away.
Plus in addition to the album you’re also getting 3 special additional unreleased recordings with some of my favorite themes and some of the best jazz guitar solos I’ve ever recorded. These are not for sale anywhere but they are yours here as a gift.
Thanks for taking the time to read this letter. I look forward to hearing from you if you have any questions or if you want to send me any comments about the album (just email me at martin@martinsimon.info).
